SHIP CONFIRM ERRORS — NO INVENTORY CONTROLS
When attempting to ship confirm an order from a specific staging subinventory, the following error occurs.
ERROR:
Warning: Some deliveries selected for Ship confirm have errors or warnings. Warning: Delivery details <delivery detail id> in this delivery do not satisfy inventory controls
Warning: The ship confirm option selected will unassign all the lines from delivery <delivery id>
Solution:
Option 1. When ship confirming deliveries, do the following:
1.1 As the Order Management user, navigate to Shipping > Transactions.
1.2 Enter search criteria in the query manager.
1.3 In the Lines/LPNs tab, select a delivery line to be ship confirmed.
1.4 Click on the Details button.
1.5 If the Locator field is not displayed here, then use Folders > Show field to add the locator field to this form.
1.6 Input the correct locator for the staging subinventory.
1.7 Ship confirm the related delivery, and verify that ship confirm completes successfully.
Option 2. Staging subinventory locator may be specified when orders are pick released: 2.1 Navigate to Shipping > Release Sales Orders.
2.2 Enter desired picking criteria.
2.3 In the Inventory tab, on the lower left in the box labeled “Default Stage”, select the correct staging subinventory and enter the correct locator.
2.4 Now, when ship confirming this order, there should be no need to enter locator in the Lines/LPNs details form.
Option 3: Define a default staging locator in shipping setup. When any order is pick released to the locator-controlled subinventory, options 1 and 2 will not be necessary because the locator specified here will automatically be defaulted as the staging locator 3.1 Navigate to Shipping > Setup > Shipping Parameters.
3.2 Go to the Pick Release tab.
3.3 Verify that the default stage subinventory is the staging subinventory you normally use and/or is the staging subinventory you used when you encountered the warning “Delivery details <delivery detail id> in this delivery do not satisfy inventory controls”. 3.4 Enter the correct default staging locator in the field “Default Stage Locator”
NOTE: If the staging subinventory is NOT locator controlled, then any attempt to enter a locator in either the pick release form or the Shipping Transactions Lines/LPNs Details form will result in error: Field protected against update.
